On-Ramps to Careers STEM Internship Awards Ceremony
This month, Learnie was honored by On-Ramps as New Employer of the Year at the Stem Internship Celebration. Michael LeFort, Learnie’s Head of Impact, accepted the award, “As soon as I walked into the Samsung center in DC, I was pleasantly greeted by our team of interns standing in front of a big screen with our logo and app brightly featured! What a pleasure it was to meet all of these eager and industrious future business leaders. With On-Ramps, we have found an organization with whom we share the same profound mission: supporting the modern Workforce.”
STEM Interns and Community Microlearning Projects
With interns working on content creation, marketing, and quality assurance, the Learnie team engaged the interns in authentic work experiences.
The “Bug Hunters” intern team took our testing game to a whole new level. They created their own team name and logo, dove into unique projects on everything from ancient artifacts to stop-motion Lego, and built a fun, collaborative vibe. With a thorough checklist and detailed bug reports, they tackled every feature, finding clever ways to push the system’s limits (like trying out a 5000-character profile name that totally broke things!). They even put the AI chatbot through its paces, making sure it could answer questions and tag content smoothly. Thanks to their hard work, the platform is in better shape than ever!
The interns didn’t just stop at testing; they also brought their creative flair to content creation. With strong design skills and fresh ideas, they helped build visually engaging resources that added real depth to each of their projects. Their innovative approaches gave the platform’s content a unique, polished look and set a new standard for visual storytelling.
