EdTech B Corp Revolutionizes Professional Development with Innovative Microlearning Platform
Learnie: Community Microlearning®, an edtech B Corporation, is proud to announce its newest client, Aurora Public Schools in Aurora, Colorado. The entire school district will utilize Learnie to create awareness and TikTok-style professional development for staff.
According to Dusty Burton, Aurora’s Ed Tech Coordinator, the decision to implement Learnie was driven by the district’s need for a flexible and engaging professional development tool.
“Learnie fuels continuous growth by delivering bite-sized, personalized learning experiences that seamlessly integrate into our busy lives, empowering us to stay ahead of the curve and thrive in an ever-evolving educational space,” said Burton.
Learnie’s Community Microlearning platform is designed for a variety of sectors, including academic, manufacturing, frontline, and knowledge workers. The app-based, on-demand, peer-generated short videos are tailored to meet the needs of modern learners who prefer engaging, easily digestible content over traditional long-form learning management systems.
Pete Mastin, CEO of Learnie, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership with Aurora Public Schools.
“We’re excited to work with any organization that recognizes the need for change in remote learning and learning management systems. The Aurora public school district is leading a wave of change-makers in education and workforce training, and Learnie is a great fit for them. We want all Learnie users to succeed in their jobs and progress in their careers. This is at the heart of our mission and our modern workforce solution,” Mastin stated.
Learnie addresses the “forgetting curve” among millennial and Gen Z learners by providing micro lessons in a short-form video format that resembles social media apps, making learning more engaging and effective. The company aims to bridge the gap between traditional education and the dynamic needs of the modern workforce.
