We did it.
I’ll be honest: I read the announcement twice before it sank in. Learnie has been named one of the winners of the Best Employee LMScategory in the Talented Learning 2026 LMS Awards.
When we started Learnie, we had a simple, slightly crazy idea. What if training for frontline workers felt less like homework and more like scrolling your phone on break? Short videos. Made by the people who actually do the work. Shared the way people already share everything else.
A lot of folks told us that wasn’t a “real” LMS. This week, one of the most respected independent analysts in the business put us on the same list as companies many times our size. I’m proud, I’m grateful, and I’m fired up.
Why this one means so much
There are more than 1,000 learning platforms out there all shouting for attention. Talented Learning, led by founder and lead analyst John Leh, has been cutting through that noise since 2014.
This year John reviewed hundreds of systems and recognized just 66 across six categories. Here’s the part I love most: you can’t buy your way onto this list.Sponsorships and commercial relationships don’t count. Winners are chosen from a detailed capabilities survey, analyst briefings, and what John sees in the field helping real buyers pick real systems.
In the Best Employee LMS category, Learnie sits alongside names like Workday’s Sana Labs, TalentLMS, 360Learning, and Valamis. Talented Learning doesn’t rank winners; it lists them alphabetically, because the right system depends on the buyer. For a frontline-first startup out of Utah, that’s some pretty great company.
What John said about us
John wrote that Learnie “makes knowledge sharing feel as natural as using a social app.” I could frame that line and hang it in the office.
He called out exactly what we’ve been building toward: a mobile-first platform where employees capture and share what they know through short-form video, peer collaboration, and user-generated content. He noted that it delivers lightweight microlearning to distributed teams right when they need it. And he described Learnie as an affordable, engaging way to scale knowledge sharing without piling on complexity.
That last part matters to me. Most frontline teams don’t need another heavy system. They need something people will actually open. You can read John’s full write-up in the awards announcementand check out Learnie’s profile on Talented Learning.
The “TikTok for Training” bet is paying off
John’s broader take on the market this year lines up with why we built Learnie. He sees the best employee platforms moving toward knowledge sharing in the flow of work, frontline access from any device, and skills tied to real business results.
That’s the world our customers live in. The crew lead on a jobsite. The CNA between patient visits. The teacher grabbing five minutes of professional development before the bell. These people will never sit through a 45-minute module at a desk. But they’ll watch a 60-second video from a coworker who’s already solved the problem they’re facing.
The knowledge is already inside your organization. It lives in the heads of your best people. Learnie just makes it easy to capture and pass along, the way people already share everything else on their phones.
Thank you, and we’re just getting started
A huge thank you to John Leh and the Talented Learning team for taking a close look at what we’re building. Thank you to our customers, who trusted a newer platform and gave us the feedback that shaped it. And thank you to every frontline worker who has picked up a phone and recorded a quick video to help a teammate. This award is really yours.
We’re not slowing down. If you’re responsible for training a deskless or frontline workforce and you’re tired of content nobody finishes, let’s talk. I’d love to show you what Learnie can do in 20 minutes.
